Creative arts counselling - integrating and restoring balance
As the demands of life increase, so too does our own stress levels. Even the pace of life seems to speed up as the years roll by and often times we find ourselves overwhelmed and unable to provide ourselves with the space to address our own needs. Creative Arts counselling can help you by providing you with the necessary skills to address life circumstances and facilitate change.
'Creative arts counselling' is a combination of multi modal, arts based interventions coupled with voice, movement, and psychodrama. These processes are engaged to promote authentic expression, develop insight and increase overall wellbeing.
I specialise and have an interest in: drug/alcohol addiction, psychosis, depression, anxiety, trauma, sleep disorder, resistance, abuse, relationship breakdown, life transitions, evoking passion, discovering and restoring personal meaning.
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone to enquire further about my services or make an appointment.
Paul is a Transpersonal Counsellor whose practice is centred around supporting and developing authentic connection. He has been a meditation teacher for four years and in that time has also facilitated monthly men's groups. I believe we all have a natural and inherent healing ability and hold our own answers. I aim to create an atmosphere of safety and warmth in which to empower clients to access this part of themselves via creativity to understand and move through difficulties.
Over the past 10yrs years I have worked extensively with groups and individuals. My background as an Art Therapist includes work with women, children and adolescents recovering from Family Violence, trauma and/or abuse issues. I also work with those struggling with Depression, Grief and Life Transitions.
Alongside counselling skills some of the modalities used are Sandplay, Clay Field, Guided Drawing, Body Mapping, Drawing and Relaxation methods.
I am available for organisations and workplaces for Staff Professional Development, de-briefing and Team building Programs.
Given that I also have a love for the power of ritual, I am a registered Marriage Celebrant with the aim of helping couples create an authentic, sacred and meaningful Marriage ritual.
