History
Since 1997, Phoenix Institute of Victoria has been delivering personal development programs and vocational courses that enrich our lives and the lives of people around us. Over nine hundred students have been involved in our programs, with an ever-growing network of people keenly interested in furthering this work through the Institute.
Phoenix graduates come from all walks of life including government and non-government agencies, such as schools, welfare and human services, nursing and professional vocations. Many students are in life transitions or wanting to work more authentically in their vocation.
Phoenix Institute became a Registered Training Organisation (RTO No 21582) in 2005, delivering Diploma courses that are nationally recognised and a part of the National Training Information Service (NTIS). Phoenix has also achieved international student accreditation (CRICOS Code 02701K) for its one year Diploma courses.
The Institute delivers a number of programs. Two of these, the Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling (51942) and the Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy (51939) were originally developed by Dr Rafael Locke, who founded IKON Institute for the Healing Arts in 1987.
